Public works construction starts with service continuity

Municipal construction has to protect the public and keep essential services functioning while the asset is renewed. Ardenvale plans staging, traffic and pedestrian routes, temporary access, utility protection, isolation, bypass requirements, dewatering, emergency response access, and daily reinstatement before excavation begins. The work plan aligns the contract schedule with permit conditions, environmental controls, resident and business access requirements, and the municipality's inspection hold points.

Road, sewer, watermain, and stormwater scope under one civil plan

Ardenvale executes municipal road and roadway construction, excavation, granular base, grading, asphalt paving, curbs, sidewalks, structures, and restoration. Below grade, we install and replace sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and watermains, including services, chambers, maintenance holes, catch basins, valves, hydrant connections, and tie-ins shown in the contract documents.

Execution follows the issued design, applicable OPSS and OPSD requirements, municipal amendments, and project-specific specifications. Crews control trench support, dewatering, pipe bedding, line and grade, embedment, compaction, testing, flushing, disinfection where specified, and surface reinstatement. Survey and inspection records are captured before the work is covered, reducing uncertainty at payment review and closeout.

Accessible public routes and durable surface restoration

Public-facing restoration is complete only when drainage, accessibility, and finish elevations work together. Ardenvale builds concrete curbs and gutters, sidewalks, boulevard sections, ramps, and pavement transitions to the approved geometry and local standard drawings. We manage crossfall, curb exposure, drainage paths, tactile walking surface interfaces, utility adjustments, joints, and tie-ins so completed routes drain properly and avoid abrupt lips, ponding, and premature edge failure.

Quality records tied to quantities and contract requirements

Municipal owners need records that support acceptance, payment, future maintenance, and asset information. Ardenvale tracks submittals, material tickets, concrete and compaction testing, pipe and watermain test results, survey data, inspection requests, field changes, daily quantities, deficiencies, and as-built information against the contract scope. Materials and workmanship are checked to the applicable OPSS, CSA, OBC, municipal standard, and approved product requirements identified for the project.

Ardenvale responds to defined bid forms, specifications, addenda, schedules, pricing structures, bonding and insurance requirements, and submission deadlines without substituting assumptions for tender requirements.
